JailbreakMe.com ကို ဖန္တီးသူ အသက္ ၁၉ ႏွစ္အရြယ္ Nicholas Allegra a.k.a Comex ဟာ ေက်ာ္ၾကားတဲ့ iOS Hacker တစ္ေယာက္ အျဖစ္ အသိမွတ္ျပဳျခင္း ခံခဲ့ရၿပီး 2011 Pwnie Award မွာ ‘Best Client Side Bug’ ဆုကို ရရွိခဲ့သူျဖစ္ပါတယ္။
၂၀၁၀ မွာ Sprit လို ့ေခၚတဲ့ untethered Jailbreak ကို iPhone 3Gs အတြက္ စတင္ ပြဲထုတ္ခဲ့ပါတယ္၊ သိပ္မၾကာခင္ ၂၀၁၀ ၾသဂုတ္လ မွာပဲ iPhone 4 အပါအဝင္ iOS4.0 iDevice မ်ား အားလုံး အတြက္ JailbreakMe 2.0 ကို web based jailbreak tool အျဖစ္ JailbreakMe.com ကေန ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို ့ စတင္ ရင္းႏွီးခဲ့ၾကပါတယ္။ Apple က သူရဲ ့ စြမ္းေဆာင္ခ်က္ေတြကို ပိတ္ပင္ခဲ့ၿပီး ေနာက္ Comex ဟာ iOS4.3.3 အတြက္ JailbreakMe ကို တဖန္ျပန္လည္ ေအာင္ျမင္စြာ Update လုပ္ေပးနိုင္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။
ဒါေပမယ့္ အခုဆိုရင္ Comex ဟာ Apple ကုမၸဏီကို သြားေတာ့မယ္လို ့ ေနာက္ကြယ္မွာ ေျပာသံၾကားေနရပါတယ္.. သူသာ ဒီလို တစ္ကယ္သြားခဲ့ရင္ ေနာက္ပိုင္း ကၽြန္ေတာ္တို ့ Jailbreak လုပ္ေဆာင္မွုေတြ ပိုမို ခက္ခဲမွု ရွိလာေကာင္း ရွိလာနိုင္ပါတယ္။ အရင္က User side ကေန company side ေျပာင္းသြားသည့္တိုင္ေအာင္ ဟိုတုန္းက Jailbreak လုပ္ခဲ့ရတဲ့ ဘဝေတြကို Comex ႀကီး တသ, သ လြမ္းေနဦးမွာပါ။

Question: After your internship with Apple and after iOS 5 is officially released, will you continue to support the jailbreak community by providing exploits?
Comex: No.
Edit: But I’ll want to jailbreak my phone, so I hope someone finds them :P
Question: Why an intern position though? It seems like you could carry a regular position at apple.
How has the core jailbreak dev teams responded to you going to work for apple?
Comex: I don’t know if I’d want to do that- I’ve never had a job before and I don’t know what it’s like- and I intend to go back to college soon.

Question: Have you made any money from the jb scene?
Comex: I’ve made a good amount of money through donations, which is mostly being used to help pay for college. JailbreakMe 2.0 was like $40,000; 3.0 was $15,000 (not quite sure why it decreased).
Question: The jailbreak community took a huge hit when you left. Do you think the active players can outsmart you now that you’re playing for the other team, or are you Apple’s final solution to their jailbreak problem?
Comex: There are a lot of smart people working for Apple already; maybe I can help, but I doubt I can stop people from finding exploits.
Question: Have you met Steve Jobs?
Comex: I wish.
Question: Can you give any insight on how apple views the Jailbreak communities mods?
Comex: I have no idea.
Question:As a huge open book for them to steal take ideas from.
Comex: I certainly don’t mind. Jailbreak community puts an idea in front of people with a crappy implemenation; Apple polishes it to the point where it can be an OS feature. I don’t know whether Apple actually pays attention to jailbreak apps, but see App Store, copy and paste, multitasking, etc…
Question: Firstly, why did you choose to get involved in specifically the iPhone jailbreaking scene, what was it attracted you to the iPhone? Secondly, did you always set out to be a hacker or was it just something that interested you and found you had a nack for? Finally, in regards to the PDF bug used for the JailbreakMe.com jailbreak, where on earth did you get the brilliant idea for it?
Comex:I had one… and it was a device that (a) had a lot of functionality, (B) had a nice and flexible UNIX OS, © already had an active homebrew community, and (d) was really cool. :P
I never wanted to be a black hat hacker, but I did enjoy hacking (originally SQL injection and crap) as a natural extension of programming.
FreeType was one of the less studied open source components of iOS.
Question: What made you want to jailbreak? I mean there are plenty of ways to jailbreak, so why jump in? For the experience, money?
Comex:There is often (including now) no jailbreak for the latest OS version. Waiting patiently for the Dev Team is no fun :)
But really, I started because I had done some Wii hacking and was curious about how the iPhone worked. I was pretty noobish back then...
Question: Do you have any regrets?
Comex: I should have worked on these jailbreaks more consistently, and released them more quickly; I’ve had several exploits fixed on me that could have been used in a jailbreak if I was quicker at packaging.
Question: What, besides money, made you flip to the other side?
Comex: It’s not about money. A large part of my motivation to jailbreak was always the challenge; the internship will be a new sort of challenge.
Question: Will the current jailbreaks and/or the site disappear?
Comex: No, I’ll hand them over to MuscleNerd or chpwn or whoever will take care of them.
Question: What will you be doing as part of your internship (if you are allowed to talk about it)? What feature is most lacking from iOS (might as well say iOS 5, as some of the missing iOS 4 features are included)? Your thoughts on Steve Jobs' departure?
Comex: No comment. I'd like to see flexible columns as featured in WebOS 3.0 and Twitter for iPad. More importantly, I'd like to see support for webapps that don't compromise as much as the current generation has to, but that's a whole bunch of features rather than one.
Really a shame; I was hoping to meet him some day, and, company direction aside, keynotes won't be as entertaining without him.
Question:Do you know if any of the PDF exploits you found were also discovered by other people before you implemented them into JailbreakMe?
Comex:I haven't heard any reports of that, although I was very scared once when, checking my email after the plane I was in landed, I saw a cff security update on one of those mailing lists. Luckily it turned out to be' a different bug.
Question:Thanks for the iOS and, well, other ios hackery. Is there anything on the horizon in that regard?
Comex: Maybe when I get my TouchPad I'll find something fun to do with it. Or maybe I'll finally learn how FPGAs work...
Question: Hooray! How does it feel being in the spotlight right now?
Comex: It makes me feel like I should be spending more time finding vulnerabilities rather than browsing /r/tf2. :P
Question: Do you feel as if you are taken advantage of? Do you feel like your work is appreciated? Please don't stop working on new jailbreaks, my idevices wouldn't be the same.
Comex: With 179,000 followers, I can hardly complain about appreciation :)
Question: Is your 'hacking' career over? Or is there any other device(s) that you are interested in hacking?
Comex: I don't own any other locked down devices: I guess I should get some. I am getting a TouchPad, though; no hacking needed there but perhaps some fun low level project.
